Taking some glamour photos to sell.

Not really a photographer, I know which buttons to press in a camera and some lighting, curious to know what kind of photos do you folks like to see when purchasing a watch online? Is there a photo I can take to make my watch more attractive to the buyer, etc?

Depending on price, I would want to see some macro shots of the case and crystal, so that I could determine the condition better.

With the higher the asking price, there will be an expectation for better and better photos.  I don’t know a ton about Oris, but I’m guessing this model is within $800-$1500 USD, and before dropping some money like that on pre-owned, I would want some close-ups.

The watch looks great from these photos, I’m guessing it hasn’t been worn a ton, or someone was very careful with it.

Yeah, the previous owner hardly wore it, and I was really careful with it too, it's still in near mint condition. This model retails at $3400, but the market price pre-owned is closer to $2500.

Based on @Deeperblue's awesome recent thread found here:  https://www.watchcrunch.com/Deeperblue/posts/watch-adverts-9900

I would suggest an advert like the following:

Wowzers! When I looked at the full bronzes on a bracelet, those weren’t even over 3. I did some looking into the movement, and with that under the hood, the price makes way more sense.

Yeah, this one is their in-house 400 movement, with 5 days of power reserve, it's a step up from the sellita-base movements they use on those.

Here are some great eBay listings to take inspiration from:

The lifestyle shot...

The wrist shot...

The 'holding back my imaginary cuff' shot...

Image

Alternatively, if you want to make it an actual decent listing I would just take some detailed photos from a collection of angles and then a nice shot in the hand or on the wrist something like this...

Image

And a nice presentation shot like this...

I don't want art photos, I want forensic photos. The more the better. I want closeups of  every surface as well as the movement if possible. i want the best possible info to make a decision and be happy with it.
