VALENTINES DAY CHALLENGE WINNER ANNOUNCED

Happy Valentines Day everyone.  I hope you are all getting your share of romance and love today.  In an attempt to show WatchCrunch how well I know what women like I started the WatchCrunch Valentines Day Challenge.

15 Crunches working with a budget to $75K offered an impressive selection of watches for our ladies to choose from. Before I announce the winner I would like to discuss some honorable mentions.  The F91W selected by both @gebelleh and @gasworks did not melt the hearts of any of our Ladies.  @UnholiestJedi wasn’t able to get his love to vote for the watch he would like to gift her so he can wear.  It seems like the Ladies were looking for a very romantic sentiment to get their vote.  I could only manage to get two second place votes with a piece I thought was a easy winner, which goes to show that I still don’t know anything about women and how their minds and hearts work.  A special mention has to go to @jcwatch for sharing that Lorus Mickey watch that he put his heart and soul into to restore for his Valentine.

Runners up include: @celinesimon who has the added benefit of being a Lady and knowing how they think.  Celine offered a handful of stunning red watches including a Bulgari Serpenti, JLC Reverso, Patek Complications Annual Calendar but scores her points with the Vacheron Constantin HISTORIQUES AMERICAN 1921 on a red strap chosen by @grrldoc and by me but due to gender, I don’t count. @Olivier choose the The Cartier Tank Louis WGTA0059 which won the heart of the Godess DeeperBlue and caused quite a stir all around.  The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda of @valleykilmers was the choice of our resident luxury watch expert Celine Simon.

Now it is time to announce the winner, the Cruncher who melted the hearts of many ladies with the Van Clef and Arpel’s Pont des Amoureux Hiver (Winter Lovers) who meet at the middle of the bridge to kiss at noon and midnight.  @Fieldwalker, Alan, I crown you as the winner of the WatchCrunch Valentines Day Challenge and bestow you with the title “Cruncher most likely to know what a Lady wants.”

Thank you all who participated.

No happy sports were entered but it is certainly a watch loved by many.

Whoop whoop! 😀 Thank you!!

I'm 100% using this win as evidence to my wifey what I great dude I am. Also expect it translates into permission for a budget bump for my next pricey watch purchase? 🤔

On a serious note - since wifey isn't the watch lover I wish she was - I will buy some surprise flowers for her when I go out for a run shortly. And this thread was the reminder to do something romantic, kudos @Velomax

SO - the Valentines Day lovers kiss at noon will be transitioned to reality when she gets home from her job this afternoon! Happy Valentines day guys!
