New Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto and how my big mouth got me in trouble

I got overly excited two weeks ago when I saw the Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto in person for two very good reasons.  The first reason was that the release of this watch launches Christopher Ward into the ranks of high horology along side brands like IWC, Girard Perregaux, Ulysse Nardin and JLC and surpasses Rolex and Tudor who do nothing interesting. This watch also marks the first time that a brand has personally treated me like a VIP customer.  I was excited to share the news of this release with my WatchCrunch friends that, I posted more information than I should have.  I was scolded by the Christopher Ward sales team who obviously did not want any wind taken out of the sails of today’s(Nov 1) release of the watch.  Fortunately they still took my money and are going to send me the watch.  Bel Canto means "beautiful song" in Italian.  Please follow the link to the official CW page to learn about my next new chiming watch.

I'm a CW fan.  Have five examples purchased from more than a decade ago to a few months back. Have to say, though, and no offense, this looks like the grinning face of a cyclops. And once I saw that I can't unsee it.

How do you know a watch is a big deal?

When 4 different Crunchers post about it within an hour.

I like it.
