A 3D printed Oris ProPilot Coulson Limited Edition

I usually pay little attention to Oris since declaring them a lost company searching for an identity but the hot color fade dial on the new Coulson LE made me look closer.  With similar aesthetics to the other ProPilots, the Coulson case has a core of carbon fiber surrounded and filled with a proprietary polymer called PEKK and then milled to size.  This creates a watch which is just a bit more than half the weight of a stainless watch.  Case dimensions are 41mm × 12.2mm and the watch runs on the Oris caliber 400.

Coulson Aviation who inspired this edition is an aviation company that fights fires from the air.  Oris is making 1000 pcs of this watch and it is priced at $4500.00

Sorry, thought this was more appropriate.

I agree with you on their brand identity. Big fan of Oris but I see them taking interesting shots in the dark with their newer models. Some hit, some miss. This one was a total miss for me.

Its an alright watch for a good cause.

I'm much more excited to see the caliber 400 in their normal propilot range.

·

I tried this watch on a few days ago.  Very cool.

I was interested in this model as well, and like Oris the brand - but struggled with it when I saw the price.  Hoping the cal400 keeps getting better and more refined and price starts coming down as they use in more new models.

I tried this one on yesterday. Absolutely beautiful color on the dial. The material of the case was unique, and the lightness of the whole package was striking. Excited to see Oris play more in this direction.

·

Very cool dial.

I had a hard time with their new pricing model at first, but I'm coming around to it.  I think it's "roughly comparable" to what other companies would charge for a similarly spec'd watch from someone you'd heard of.

Like @Nuclear1711 I’m excited to see them adding the Cal 400 in the other Propilot range. The case is cool, not sure about the dial color. I DO love how they continue to push the boundaries and designs though.

·

I really don’t get this, to me it looks like a swatch

As a red watch fan, I want to love this one more than I do, but the dial seems rather unispired to me compared to their most recent dials. As if they printed that pattern on metal with a printer and stamped a bunch out. I realize a lot of dials are made that way, but it is missing that normal sense of Oris craftsmanship for me. It pains me to say that. Specs looks great otherwise.

Way, way too expensive.  Not that exciting.
