Shatters & Acrylic?

Apart from the capability to bring the dial to life with its domed shape and milky reflection, acrylic crystals are also shatter proof. This I have experienced first hand during a rock climbing exercise...Yes, I should have considered wearing my G-Shock instead ๐Ÿ˜‚

The watch was exposed to a pretty heavy hit when my hand slipped while at the rock climbing gym. This put a serious "dent" on the crystal. I applied a few sessions of polywatch buffing and even though it made it smoother, the scratch was just far too deep to be removed. Finally, I had to have the crystal replaced. It is now back to its original shape. However the bezel still holds the remnants of the mishap. I am not doing anything about that- adds character ๐Ÿ˜Ž
