marine nationale / mn strap on seiko srpg37k1

recently i got bored with my stock nato strap from my seiko srpg37k1, after searching from the internet for a while i found this marine nationale strap and bought it. i always think nato or zulu strap are too bulky when you are wearing the watch. difference is this strap got less material and the nylon is flexible, also the buckle looks like a hook which for me is hard to connect it with the buckle.

conclussion its a better looking strap than nato or zulu but to connect the hook is a real pain in the 4ss😅. have you ever try this kind of strap? whats your favourite strap/bracelet for your field watch?

Now that is awesome! I had a feeling it’s some sort of knife or spear Haha I can relate I have this for a letter opener at work …

off course not as cool as your knife but I would like to think it is 😁

Its a push knife usually for a boot. Legal blade length used in a fist like a stinger. I have a few.

Great shot as always, bud. And yeah, I'm liking MN straps too. Got 2 color variants for my 20mm watches.

Image

But because I'm small wristed, they're both long and don't look nice when strapped normally. One fellow WCer mentioned a way to sling it, and so now, it wears better. Next batch of buys will include a black with white stripe like yours. 👍

I personally like the MN AKA Parachute Straps better than Zulus or NATOs. If I'm going with a NATO look, then I prefer the two piece NATO (which, of course, obviates the purpose of the NATO in protecting the watch).

I have purchased both NDC and Erika's Originals as well as some Amazon inexpensive parachute straps. The NDC and Erika's are definitely worth the extra money if you plan to wear your watch on the strap regularly. I picked up some of the inexpensive ones on Amazon for my Vostoks and microbrands.

I had to use the NDC on the Seiko Flight after seeing TGV's - it just looked so good that way.

Here are some wrist shots:

Your SRPG37 is a strap monster, so it can easily wear all sorts of MN color variants. 👍 I actually like wearing both NATO and MN, as each has its unique wear, feel, and look. Here's the alternative way to sling the MN strap I learned:

Putting the bigger part of my hand through does take a little bit of effort, but once on wrist, it's comfortably snug.
