Love a Flieger. Love a Laco. But I'm working towards a Big Pilot's 43. For now I have my Coop which I also love (but is more 'Flieger inspired')...

There have been a lot of crunchers actually sharing their photos on WRUW. 😉 @JJMM1983 has been one of several I've seen regularly posting shots.

I have a couple of pilot's style watches, but only one of them is a "flieger", and that's my Cronos homage to IWC's Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince:

My other pilot watches are my Glycine Airman (originally designed ca. 1953):

appreciated the photo sir. is cronos a microbrand? i already ordered one glycine airman dc4 gl0071 like yours, probably gonna change the nato to black leather strap. one question, what is dc4 movement? is it randomly pick between eta and sellita?

·

Cronos is an AliExpress brand out of China.  They're higher end for AliExpress, near equivalent to San Martin.

The DC-4 uses either an ETA 2893-2 or a Sellita SW330-1 (essentially a copy of the 2893-2, with a few extra jewels).  Glycine's use of movements is generally dependent on when the watch was made, but you can tell which movement was used by the shape of the rotor.  If the rotor's non-curved sides are perpendicular to the watch case, it's a Sellita:

If it's angled, it's an ETA:

No, my friend.  You scored one with a genuine ETA 2893-2! My watch has a Sellita SW330-1:

See how my rotor shape is different?  You can also see the Sellita S by the balance wheel on mine.  You should see an ETA marking on yours along with a notation for 21 jewels, as opposed to the 25 of the Sellita.
