Before dismissing it completely out of order, I would like to get my paws on one!

Have alarm set to order the blue no-date the second it drops.

Awesome! You'll have to leave a review on watchcrunch, I would be curious how you like it.

I completely agree. You can only only judge a watch when you actually see it in person. On paper this looks pretty good though. Unfortunately in Canada we don't have a Nivada watch dealer 😥

·

I really love the look of this one. I'm going to wait until it's released and some reviewers get their hands on it.

·

I would buy one of their explorer type watch's, not this though as I don't go for the 70's integrated style.

Good plan. I really wish there were Nivada stores in Toronto so I can see one in person.

That's fair.

I’ll let you guys know if it’s good when I get it haha. That said two points for you guys to note. They did mentioned a brown dial coming next year (obviously I can’t wait that long if not I’d prefer that). There will also be a second batch in September they did mentioned “more features and improvements” in the buyers newsletter (talk about best words to a person who just bought their product)

Yeah that was really weird and annoying to read that statement from them on the newsletter after having just preordered one.

Wait what? you made me go back and search for the email. That's crazy! I went for the blue no date. The black was nice but too normal for me. The brown sounds interesting but not a huge brown fan. I wonder what enhancements would be? The more I think about it, the more odd it is to have improvements other than color for such new release. Improved bracelet? Is this the ghost date variation between demo and non-ghost production?

Latest update, that email bugged me so much I canceled the order.

Will wait to see if the brown dial is suburst. As that will definitely make me reconsider it. That said had to pay like $150 for currency exchange over the bank side. (Thanks Nivada! For the instant buyers remorse email. A real confidence booster for people trying out your watch; someone should get fired lol)

Side note got a vintage nivada haha. Obviously caught the nivada bug.

The spider super Antarctic caught my eye but they should stick to original size 38mm dial on a no bezel watch still wears big on my 6.5 inch wrist. (I mean if you’re going for vintage design stick to vintage size) which they did for f55 and the new diver. Which explains why I got a vintage piece instead. (No it’s not a spider just a simple three hander)

Decided to just cancel it in the end. Do look at my commend to spinround.

By chance did you ask Nivada what those enhancements would be?

Happened upon this forum while googling this watch - even though I'd already bought it. But I figured since the conversation was specifically about the "more features and improvements" statement, I thought I would join watch crunch to weigh in.

So I saw that blurb and email them directly about it huffing and puffing. In the end, their reply was:

"Hi Errik, Sorry to hear you feel this way, but we will not be changing anything on the watch the only difference will be that we will offer more Dial Colors.

Regards,

Robin"

Just thought you guys ought to know.

FWIW i asked about future improvements, "Regarding your inquiry, our Brand Manager confirmed that we have another batch to launch this coming September, however, it is just the same as what we've launched. But we are always open to possibilities and it is a great idea to produce an F77 with new features to discuss with the team. Unfortunately, this is not the time but it could be soon, as confirmed by our brand manager."

Suppose to be the tobacco brown. Wonder what the others are.

I like the design but have an issue with any watches where they hour and minutes don’t touch the markers.

It may be an aesthetic choice, but makes me feel like the watch design is trying to hide an inaccurate movement. Plus I can’t tell the exact time.

Sort of excited. The F77 has started shipping!

Just wanted to follow up with, it's worth it to me. The blue dial was delivered and it looks fantastic.

Sharing some pictures of mine, think it looks pretty amazing. The dial is beautiful and the finishing quite well done. Only downside for me is the way they did the endlinks of the bracelet, it's fixed at an angle making it function like a male end link extending the effective lug to lug length to 51mm which makes it not wear as nice for smaller wrists like mine.

Nice design by Nivada Grenchen, but there are just too many of this style out there now and I have a limited capacity for 38mm and under watches. They are just a wee bit too small for my wrist in general.

Very attractive watch though as is the Christopher Ward 12.
