The Explorer II is back!

Sad I broke it. Hated paying for the repair. Don't even ask... sigh. Happy to see it back in one piece !

Well I must say that was a fast turn around, but great to see it back and looking all shinny and new once again. Need I say it, be careful this time 🤣

·

Glad to see it safe and sound.

Stop using it as a hammer now.

Thank you !!!! I've never wrecked a watch before. I've had them in for service. There have been a few people who mentioned the turn around time. Hmm... should I be worried? Did my movement get swapped? Or something else crazy?

Yes... a few people posted about that . I'm now a little worried something is wrong - was too easy yet expensive

I used to own an antique Mercedes (imagine that).  Eventually the service costs for routine maintenance made me move on.  I didn't have room to store multiple cars.

You have a watch with a similar problem:  every service will be expensive.  The fast turnaround tells me that the internals looked good and your damage was superficial and easily remedied.

When there is uncertainty in the economy non-essential expenses are the first to be cut or delayed.  Good watches stay in boxes. You may have been fortunate enough to catch a window where a crystal, gasket, and a polish could be returned quickly.

So good to see it back in shape, take care of it this time 😂

I have only one question, How?!?!?!?

Have a good one bro

I was reaching for another watch in a safe I store watches that I am currently wearing alot. I knocked it off a shelf.  What I get for being lazy and not buying a watch box for that safe

Thank you!!! I am super stoked

I can’t help but wonder what the guys at the service center said when they saw your watch…

”Hey Jim, we got another one!”

”Damn those Instagram challenges!”

They said "We don't need to sell new product to make money! We have this fool dropping his watch "

LOL of it happens again I am claiming on my Personal Article Policy for damages. Don't know ow why I went out of pocket . I have never claimed anything in my life. This is my favorite Rolex & a favorite piece.  A keeper

Most definite I don't  blame you. I'm guessing you all set as far time grail all complete? Or you still get that whats next?

There is a long list of watches I'd love to own. It's funny, I feel like I have every watch I want but you never know.... kind of why I'm here in WC. What about you? What's next or a Grail?

·

I have a Tissot watch in mind. it would be my most expensive time piece that I would purchase. And theres a titanium citizen and a Vostok. Not gonna get them all at once I know I can but just taking my time. Until I'm ready to release that trigger but it be one at the time. My main goal if I can have at least 12 various perfect watches in my eyes. I be set but of course theres gonna be another one out there that will get your attention and hard to ignore.

So sorry that happened to you! I love the line in the About Effing Time podcast that Adrian said… it’s Schrödinger’s Explorer…
