The every day watch I was gifted
Today I am wearing a watch gifted to me by my Father in Law. He was a craftsman in masonry for decades. His daily wear was this little Tissot Sea Star. I can't imagine this little winder on a big man's wrist hefting concrete block and stone. The band was changed constantly because it was drenched in concrete. My Mother in Law would yell at him for wearing the watch on a job site. As a collector I do my best to take care of my timepieces. This watch was never pampered.
The old-school dome crystal is cool. I actually like the distortion. By all measurements this watch is too small for me BUT I love wearing it
I tried to find a picture of him wearing the watch on the job. What I dug up was a series of pics on a job site that was recently featured in the Robb Report. My Father in Law did the renovation on this house wearing this watch every day. 1st Rolex purchased as a highschool senior. Saved the $ working in a lawnmower factory. I love and own many brands

I bought this EXACT watch on Ebay a couple years ago. It needs a service, so I have stopped wearing it, but you reminded me what a great piece it is. Movement also has "Tissot" engraved on it....
