My Wife's Watchbox

My wife enjoys "Borrowing" my watches frequently without notification. She says I am notified when I notice what watch she is wearing. I actually promote this behavior. In fact, I am on the hunt for a "Sharable" Grand Seiko model. Has to be Titanium, Spring Drive and Beautiful. I think I have many choices... I digress. My wife does have her own little collection of watches. This is her official Watchbox that lives amongst mine in a comfy safe. The Pink OP was her birthday present this year. Many thanks to WC for the strap suggestions: more posts to come on that. My wife is loving the bracelet so far.

The Pieces: Michelle Ceramic. Have to say for costume quartz this watch makes her happy! She broke a Ceramic link and customer service was equal to or better than many luxury brands. Free links were expressed to me within 2 days. The Pink OP is new. The YachtMaster is her personal favorite. She saw it in an AD'S window and fell in love. The Datejust was my first watch I gifted to her. The White Gold Baume & Mercier is from a previous relationship. What the hell - why not? It's a cool little piece. I say keep wearing it. The Tiffany watch was gifted to my mother in law by my wife. She is no longer with us.

This picture is an example of "Notification" My wife has an affinity for my rose gold Radiomir. Really anything with a strap is fair game - no cares on case size. Often she will pull a little Tissot Seastar that her father used to ware & gave to me before he passed.

My wife definitely prefers significantly smaller watches to me (33mm and below). The closest I've ever gotten is having her wear my father's oyster quartz day date. Frankly, it looks far better on her than it ever did on me so it is permanently sized to her wrist now.

That's a very cool watch! I have never seen anything like this. Beautiful!!!!

My wife has built up quite a collection. She’s been waiting over a year now for the pink OP36. She turned down the pink OP34 because it was “the wrong pink”.

She is spot on with the color difference. Hard to put into words but there is a difference. Your wife is a good soul. I would have flipped the OP34. I say that but I've never done it LOL

My wife wore my Hulk for a few years on her tiny wrist. She gave it back to me when she got her GO SeaQ but she is angling to get it back again.

·

Very nice collection your wife has curated, with your help👍 At least up til now my watches are left alone. I wouldn’t mind if she took an interest though. But she wants to wear really small quartz.

She has a great collection. It is nice that both of you can enjoy the hobby together.

LOL, I think it will be a little battle between my son and my wife. My daughter decided not to wait. I picked up a new 36mm Explorer I last year. I wore it maybe a month before she said she thought it was the coolest waych she had ever seen. This from someone who doesn't wear watches. Now she owns an Explorer.

Nothing like seeing your wife turn up in a favorite t shirt! Part of the charm I think

Thank you! She loves watches but doesn't enjoy my desire to have another and another and another watch LOL!

Thank you! I guess that leaves you with only one option my friend!

That SeaQ is awesome! I am sure the Hulk looked great as well. I personally like the look a lot when my wife wears my watches. Unless she beats one up

It's easier just to give in

I'd say your wife leans into the high end rather nicely. I like that Tiffany (Cartier?) the most of all, so different and stylish.

She gets all the high end stuff from me LOL! The watch she wears a lit is the pink quartz with casual clothes. Often she borrows one of my sons' G Shocks . This is a very common look for her

That little tank is cool. A Tiffany's tank my wife gave her mom. Great little piece.

Wonderful post! She has a lovely collection. The big winners here are all of us for having wives that tolerate our silly hobby. Bonus if the wife joins in and partakes!

Thanks Brother! Have to invest in a few watches for my wife so I can keep plugging along collecting LOL

Wise thinking. My wife (who has a better collection than me) doesn’t wear them that much. The one brand that she loves is Cartier, so may have to pick one up for her so I can implement your strategy!

All of you have lovely wife's that shares your passion! Kudos to them!

Lure them into the hobby so that you can buy more. LOL

·

Vary nice, elegant and tasteful. Everything SuperCar Blonde's watches are not!!

LOL of course we loves us some Super Cars but not so much the Flexen that goes with it.

If my man's watches weren't so giant on my wrist I would be exactly like your wife. Sadly 42m seiko looks like a monster on me and not in a cool tomb raider way.😅 she has amazing taste in watches.

Thank you! I do go a little nuts when she has the case of one of my watches dangling on her wrist and it's clunking on stuff. What I get by feeding the addiction LOL!

·

love that pink OP! Hoping to one day gift one to my daughter.

My wife loves it! My daughter was never into watches until I picked up the new 36mm Explorer I. I wound up giving it to her after a month LOL. Now she owns a Tissot, a Tag Heuer and a G Shock she picked up on her own.
