I wanted to get a watch for my 50th right at the end of 2021 and I did a lot of research before deciding that my ONE watch was going to be an Omega SMP. Of course, during this process I became completely hooked.
Roll forward 12 months and I've added another four and I love them all.
In the box (in order acquired) :
Tag Heuer WE1211R - bought this 30 years ago and wore daily for 20 years
Omega Seamaster Pro 300 - my 50th treat. Still love this like the day I got it.
Furlan Marri Rosso Grigio - I wanted a quartz watch and I like the FM story and Patek type styling
G-Shock GM2100B-3A - just love the Casioak and just had to get the green.
Marloe Spectre Commander - being a Brit now living in Australia, I wanted a British watch. Not a Fears, which would be my ultimate choice, but I love what microbrand Marloe are doing, and for $500AUD delivered, I couldn't resist.
Tudor Black Bay Pro - wanted a GMT and absolutely loved this when it was released. Got a call from AD about 9 months earlier than expected. But just had to do it.
2023? I need to put the brakes on now. However, an Australian microbrand is still in my targets. 🙂

I have my 50th coming this year, pulled the trigger early on a Black Bay Steel and Gold.... Only now I have eight months to go and think I should buy myself a(nother) watch for my 50th 🤦🏽♂️

Sounds like a great plan to me!
