Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Through zombies. First got together a zombie apocalypse bag as a joke gift for my brother and myself. That got me into knives. Started collecting knives, then got into EDC. Getting into EDC I started to pay more attention to watches. I was told not to get into watches. I was warned. Here we are.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Can’t remember exactly. A gift in high school from my parents, I think it was a Wenger.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I am not particularly interesting, no.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Feel free to be patient. In the end, they’re just watches, trinkets, elaborate complicated rulers.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
I seem to be a sucker for Islander Watches. Just sorta happened. But I just dipped a toe into vintage, and now I have this endless source of choices.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I have decided that grails are not for me, ‘tis a dull idea to be chained to a single idol when there’s such immense selection. But have you considered an RGM?
