New Longines Spirit Zulu Time

It looks great! The crown still doesn't do it for me but the rest is great, being away from a Rolex homage. What do you think?

I must admit Longines are doing some great stuff recently. I'm loving my conquest.

This watch looks great. I must admit not having a two colour bezel at first doesn't look right but like you say it's not following others by doing that. I do fancy this but at 42mm may be a bit big for my small wrists.

i love longines spirit, this one also nice, i lobe the design 👍

·

Perfect.

·

I really like it, but the crown looks a little bit jabby.

·

I personally love it. It's aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

·

This watch is awesome, but the size just doesn’t work for me. I will still try it on at an AD — just in case 😉. I particularly like it on the brown leather strap.

That's nice!

·

This looks very nice.  I am assuming its not a flyer gmt?

·

Well I think this might be the Lux watch I buy

·

I'd have to see how it wears because I can rarely pull off a 42mm. But I love how the partially blacked out gmt hand makes it look like a floating arrow

It's a pilot's watch but as it doesn't have a two colour bezel it's a bit different. Rolex also has a full-black bezel gmt model.

I meant "flyer" as in you can set the hour hand independently vs a "caller" where the gmt hand jumps.  It looks like it may be a flyer/true gmt, which is pretty interesting.

Just watched a few youtube videos on this. Looks awesome, can’t wait to get my hands on one.

For the money no other Swiss brand can offer the legacy, quality, and pure elegant aesthetics of Longine. I own many Longine watches and have enjoyed them thoroughly. They have a watch for every occasion wether dive, sport, aviation, dress, or just great everyday wear Longine has something for everyone.  I think they are way under valued for what they deliver.

·

Really liking the initial look of this; the dial, hands and bezel.
But 42mm, 13.9mm thick,
and a crown that hungers for human flesh on that bulky bad boy? No thank you.
The caseback also leaves something to be desired.

It strikes me how similar it is to the TAG Heuer Autavia GMT.

·

gonna be really torn between this and the rumored coke bb58gmt

Yes, it's a true gmt, not an office gmt. I didn't know about the terms "flyer" and "caller".

That crown is too big indeed 😂

Longines need to reign it in, they’re just showing off now. What a gorgeous looking watch.

Well with retro being a thing at the moment, no one has a better back catalogue then Longines. No one.

Agreed. The new Spirit and this Spirit Zulu Time are probably two of the best examples of how big brands can deliver this sort of thing without looking lazy.

Love the enthusiasm. This makes me want to try one.

My only issue is the lug-to-lug (49.2 mm I believe)

Just too long for my bony wrist but the look is A+. Love that Longines is blazing their own trail with a unique GMT at that price point.

·

anyone else wonder about the originality of their deployant clasp on their leather band? screams formex to me

·

For me the green bezel version ticks alot of boxes for something im looking to buy, problem is the dial seems abit sterile to me

·

As usual, too big and the l2l is LONG.

·

I actually love that crown. Different strokes…

·

Did anybody else notice on the watchadvisor video when they were demonstrating jumping the hour hand, the gmt hand was noticeably wobbling, so much so that in some instances it was moving from its original position? I know a wobble was a thing with earlier  Rolex gmt and explorer II movements. Wouldn’t have a problem with a wobble, but if the position of the gmt hand noticeably changed that would trigger me! Maybe just a trick of the camera angle or a pre production model. Will have to reserve judgment until see it in person. Overall love the look and function of the watch.

It is a true GMT indeed

·

I feel like this is what the Sinn 104 should be.

·

All I can say is that it's in my list. Actually the real only one besides de SARB017. Hope to try it soon to see how I feel with the size.
