Questions about the Seiko SRPJ09K1

Hi all! I am looking to buy a Seiko watch and the SRPJ09K1 really caught my attention. I tried doing a bit of research on the watch, but I couldn't find anything satisfactory. What's your opinion on it? Also, is there anything specific I need to know about this particular watch? And one final question: if it gets scratched up, will it be silver under the scratches or is the black colour more than just a simple coating?

On a side note, I'm also thinking about the SRPB41J1 and I can't really choose. I'd appreciate some tips on picking one over the other.

this Seiko has been on my watchlist too and, unfortunately, I have the same questions about it as you do (hence why I haven't been rushing to get it).

But regarding the SRPB41J1, there are models from Orient that look similar and might be less expensive but just as dressy. The SRPJ09K is also more of an everyday-watch in my opinion than the SRPB41J1, so this might affect your decision making. I hope others will comment on this.

It should be a form of PVD coating. In my experience the watch itself will not see too much wear, but there should be some on the bracelet/clasp. And since it is a stainless steel case, it is of a silvery color underneath.

Alright, thank you
