What could it be?
So my mother is in Nevada on vacation and sends me a text this morning stating that she got a watch for me. She said it was a promotional watch? I’ve been watch collecting for over 10 years and never heard of anything like this. Do you think she is telling the truth or do you think she bought something. My mother isn’t one to lie and she is probably one of the luckiest people I know lol. Has anyone heard of anything like this in Nevada? I’ve never been so I wouldn’t know.

I think I have heard of these.
If they are what I am thinking they are usually a watch a company has had made with their branding on it to be given to employees for meeting a goal. I have one of these from my time at AOL when we hit 10 million members. First off, let me just thank you for your comment. This is very insightful. I have seen watches like this before but had no ideas what they were or why. No, as far as I know she is just there to play Bingo and gamble 🤣🤣🤣.
Yeah, I got one once for donating blood. It's somewhere between plastic pen and the embroidered fleece jacket, I guess. It's no real mystery in the AliExpress era. Instead of a refrigerator magnet, you order up a bunch of cheapo watches with the dial printed with the promotional logo or whatever.
I have the Snapple watch, which was presumably originally obtained by collecting bottle caps or something. These are usually very low grade, such that the people that whine about fashion watches might learn how good they really are. But then again, my 90's Snapple watch still works fine so screw it, quartz is awesome.
TL;DR - like a free t-shirt or key chain but it's a cheap watch
