First Islander

Nice! I like the titanium and the overall look of it. If it was a bit smaller I'd be tempted.

My ideal version of this is 38mm in a quartz but I just couldn’t resist. It doesn’t wear big at all on my 6.5 inch wrist and it is very light.

Yeah it's definitely wearable, but I've been on a smaller watch kick lately, mostly keeping to 40mm and below.

I respect that. The majority of mine are 36-38. Smaller watches are much more wearable.

I like Marc and his brand. I've eyeballed a couple of his watches and they're on the list. I love the one you picked! That dial! I also love the orange at the end of the second hand. I imagine he spec'd good lume on it?

Thank you for the kind words. I couldn’t agree with you more. The lume has impressed so far coming in and out of the house and appears to be well applied. I’ll know more in the middle of the night when I look at my night stand. It looks wonderful in person. This is the first titanium diver I’ve owned that has decent bezel action and doesn’t feel rough.

So far I have 4 Islanders. I think Marc is making some excellent value watches.

I’ve got an Islander Monster and a Bethpage. They are both beautiful watches. But I do have a story to tell I have to save for the beginning of next week regarding a glitch in the matrix I still have to make sure is remedied.

It's a good looking watch, just too large for me. I bought two watches and several accessories from Long Island Watches and I can only say good things about Marc, his service is excellent.

I like that its a no date dial I have my eye on the blue dial of that line up. Titanium is just a nice extra 😍

It's a lovely watch for sure and I'm very tempted, but there are several of his line up on my list before this one.

The Bethpage and the diver/pilot also a black dial version of my ISLl84 I think it's the 54. If I were to get a titanium one it would be this black dial Like yours that I favoured.

Just received two 36mm Manhasset's for my Dad and me.

O really like the dial and the crown position. Not too big for me. Which model number is it please? He has a lot!

Islanders are great. Although they are very homage-friendly, I like the pricing, and I like the way it's simply named after the vendor. It's not trying to put on 'airs and graces'; it's not trying to be something it's not. And Marc is a good guy. I don't own an Islander watch, but I have a lot of time for the concept.

I highly suggest getting one. Mine is keeping great time and the lume is strong throughout the night. I would say it rivals seikos lume. Bezel action is great. Rubber strap is super comfortable. It’s a win!! Just pull the trigger.

C'mon Marc admit defeat and design a new logo. You'd be in good company with Christopher Ward who have attempted three times (and still haven't got it quite right).
