The Consequence of Cheaply Made Watches......

I stopped by my AD today and I did buy something which will be revealed in due course.

My AD brought out this disgusting watch; and I was like where was this buried for years?  He told me it was in a drawer in a climate controlled house for its entire life.

The owner brought it in thinking it could be cleaned up and repaired.  They were told the watch is breaking down at the molecular level and cannot be saved.

I find this level of deterioration under any circumstance horrifying; and the fact that it happened without moisture or any corrosive agent other than air is shocking.

The consequence of cheaply made watches.

Yikes.  Any idea what that was made of?

Could be a new "feature" for fashion watches to completely disappear with the trends they come with.

Not stainless. That's all I have.

If that was made of painted clay as somebody's art school project I would be impressed.

I've never seen anything like it, unreal and disgusting.

It still is a very fashionable watch, if you are into "apocalypse chic".
