G W D great watch day, a celebration of styles.
Occasionally in your life the sun,moon,planets,postman and delivery companies all align and you get what's known as a red letter day, or as I'll give the abbreviation CWD. Now I woke up this morning to an awesome sight, yes a blue sky not a cloud in sight (rare sight in the UK). Even better though DPD was delivering a package from Christopher Ward, yes it's the 12. And oh boy this is another level (apologies a bit of a photo bomb)
As someone said Dial Time!!

And with our fave bars 2nd birthday, meeting with some cracking friends and even a couple of cocktails to finish the afternoon/early evening off
This watch is honestly absolutely brilliantly beautiful. And the picture say (even the poor ones I do) far more than words.
Oh the detractors say, it looks like a PRX (small Honda car??) Czpek (try saying that after a few, sounds like a mouthfull of flies CZZZZPK), Aqua Terra (terroible), Giraud Perragaux (unpronounceable), Zenith (unaffordable) Audemars Piguet (silly name, sounds like a breed of fancy pigs) and lastly Gentra (nice little town in Belgium).
So I've got a watch that's an amalgamation if a small Honda, a mouthfull of flies,terriore, unpronounceable, unaffordable, a pig and a small (but lovely) town in Belgium. Not a copy, not a hommage but a CELEBRATION of some of the best and greatest designs in the world of watchmaking, all melded into one affordable,available, delightfully sublime and above all else pronouncable package. Yes you can tell I love it.
And the icing on the cake today, not only the sun was out, CW12 arrived, friends, cocktails, pub birthday, posty kicked the door in with another watch (gift for a friend) and on arriving home a small box on the doorstep with a watch from far far away, a skeleton cow head word nail watch (now you really know I watch a certain u tuber). But those will have to wait for a few weeks as of now it's a one watch wearing and as for the new arrivals it's #NWA2 ie No Wristing Allowed. So back in the box CW12, with a moist eye, see you soon😪. So it's been a GWD and an all in all great day all round.(Buzzing I am😋) Cheers!!

It looked kind of baby blue in the renders, but looks a bit more subtle/silvery in your photos?

It changes depending how much light is on it, pales in the sunshine but lower light levels is darker. A light baby blue is correct or as CW described glacier blue. It changes because of all the faucets on the dial reflecting, which makes it interesting and hard to pin an actual colour description on it without seeing it in the flesh.

Hard to ask a random person or even someone you know to start taking pictures of your 'nethers'😆 in public. Did my best with the tools at hand (might have to invest in one of those gimble things) just for 'the shot' shot😉

Looks like CW did a bit of a homage/photocopy of the Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake...
But the price is significantly lower than the $30K Czapek.

Congrats buddy! The CW may be hommagy , but totally dunks on all those insanely expensive hard to pronounce versions. (Ingenieierier?!?!)
