This might be naive of me re: watch marketing, but wouldn't the appearance of a watch in a retail establishment being as close as possible to the announcement be the optimal scenario for sales?

I dont know in all honesty probably. My mindset is just that in my other hobbies things are announced at least a month before release to build hype. That's just where my head space is
Genuinely wasn't planning on getting one. Saw the announcement go live and was walking past an AD 5 minutes later. Popped in and asked about it. Thought I'd snap it up.
Some retailers had them in stock before the big announcement. But of course, they were only allowed to display them when Tudor officially released them to the public.
Tudor has a good reputation for having stock in ADs on the day they make an announcement. I stopped in at my AD and could have purchased one of the two they had on display, bracelet or strap model. I just didn't like it in person.
Far have I travelled and much have I seen
Goodison, Anfield are places I've been
Maine Road, Old Trafford still echo to the sound
Of the boys in red from the City Ground
Oh man, they are really milking that greenland expedition, even if the watch never has been there. They should have reissued the prince oyster.

Some had them immediately on Friday. Got mine before they had a chance to put it in the window 😂
