Bracelet with open end links

I received my Seiko SSA231 for christmas 2020 and didn’t really like the strap it came with (neither looks or the feel), so I decided to get another strap and a bracelet. I’ll admit I jumped the gun a little quickly when I found this jubilee on amazon, as I did some (very light) research but couldn’t find any bracelets that fitted the watch case and I thought the open end links wouldn’t bother me.
And they don’t… sort of. I wore it solely on the bracelet for most of last year (the other strap that I bought doesn’t really work on the watch), but by christmas 2021 I decided to buy a strap from Delugs, which I absolutely love and has been on the watch 90% of the time, leaving the bracelet mostly confined to the drawer with little wirst time, mainly because this watch works best with a strap and also that, although I like the vintage charm the open end links give to the watch and the bracelet, I find that it’s a detail that although tiny, really bothers me.

The fact that soooooo many watches have jubilees with closed end links doesn’t help either, as opposed to say, if it was a mesh bracelet, those mainly come with open end links and I think that it wouldn’t bother me as much.

I received two more straps today that complete my colour palette trifecta (brown, black and gray) and I’m thoroughly convinced that I’ll be wearing this watch only with leather.

Anyways, what do you guys think? I’m I overthinking this?(I know I am hahah)

I would like to hear your thoughts and see any pictures of watches on bracelets with open end links. Cheers!

Edit: I uploaded some pictures of my strap monster

I've found that open end links don't bother me nearly as much as I thought that they would...

I use to not care about straight open endlinks.  However, now I will always try to find curved endlinks even if I have to purchase hollow curved endlinks to bend and twist it to fit right. Good question 🤙🏽

I wish I could love it but I can't.  I'm in search of a 21mm curved endlinks for this beauty.

Thejubilee looks good but I almost think something like a president style bracelet might actually suit the formality of the watch (and would actually hide the gap a little more because a president style is all gaps).

Yeah, I agree, that’s sort of what I meant by jumping the gun on the jubilee, a president band would look better, however I don’t think I’m getting of the strap wagon any time soon haha

Hah, well the heart wants what the heart wants.  You could always resell the jubilee if you're not wearing it and reinvest in a presidential.  I think that you never really regret doing stuff like that with accessories you don't wear.

I enjoy straight end links especially if with quick release spring bars...

End of the day, it's what you prefer that matters most. 🍻

Oh by the way, I found a Jubilee bracelet that can wear both straight and curved end links, on a butterfly clasp.

My president bracelet is also on a butterfly clasp, and can do the same. 😉🍻

I hadn’t considered selling it, thank you for your suggestion!

I’d really appretiate it if you could share a link for either the president or jubilee

I'm on the same boat. I have a watch that I bought a bracelet for with end links but they didn't fit properly so now I wear it with the open end links. It's not a deal breaker but I'm much more inclined to wear it on leather or a NATO because I don't like the look of it on the open end.

I guess both of our bracelets are doomed for little wrist time!

I did a 180 with my next watch and got the PRX with it’s integrated bracelet that will never see a strap haha!, so you could say I have my basis covered 🤣
