Hi there! I have been looking to add a GMT watch to my collection and I am quite dead set on getting a Longines Zulutime in the anthracite colour. My choices initially were the Grand Seiko SBGE295G (Really love the dial and the green colour for this, sadly the watch is massive for my 16.75cm wrist), the Christopher Ward Aquatine, or the Longines Zulutime. Decided on the Zulutime in the anthracite and strap configuration after watching plenty of videos on it. However when I went to my local AD to check it out, I was quite surprised at the green colour of the bezel. It looks totally different than in any of the photos/videos I have seen of it. But i kinda dig the color after seeing it in person.
Are there any other GMTs i should be looking at? and has any of you guys had an experience like me, where online photos of the watch looked totally different when you actually get to handle it in person?

My favorite at the moment. Absolutely awesome "tool watch," but given the GS polishing, can be dressed up with a simple strap change.
Have you looked at the CW C63 GMT? It's a bit smaller, but it's a great size, well built, and looks awesome.

Looks great on the strap! However I’m not the biggest fan of a stainless steel bezel design/look. Still exploring some other grand seiko options. Thank you for the recommendation/reply!

Yup! I think it’s a great watch for the price. However I am not the biggest fan of the steel bezel design/look. Thanks for the recommendation though!
Just a heads up if you can wait, I believe ADs should begin receiving the Zulu spirit in a smaller 40mm casing this summer. I dont know what color/strap configurations theyll have but I plan on waiting for that

Yup! I saw the pictures of the new 39mm. I think the new size is actually really nice, however the colours available don’t really speak to me. The brown with the 18k gold looks good but the price is a turn off for me. If it came with the anthracite in 39mm, I might consider it. Though, the difference in thickness is only 0.4mm. So it’s still quite chunky even though it is smaller.
This beauty, believe it or not, is even more stunning in person (sorry, wife!😝❤️❤️😂)
I would suggest wait and go for the 39mm Longines Spirit Zulu time that will be released soon.
Have you looked at micro-brands? I love my Towson Watch Company Skipjack.

Love the dark green dial paired up with the brown leather strap. It reminds me of the current Seiko Alpinist color combo, which is another one of my favorites.
How about mistflake. I think it is one of the better looking sport watch from gs

Love this watch but not having quick set date must be a pain if you don’t wear it everyday.

That’s actually an excellent point, one totally overlooked! 🤙
I am very happy with Yema Superman GMT. So If You want something smaller on Your wrist I would suggest You to also check Yema's offerings
The SBGE253 looks amazing. I'm pickingup the SBGE255 Blue

Thanks for the reply/recommendation. That does look really sweet. But so far I think my favourite is still the SBGE295G.

That looks really sweet! Which model number is that? At the moment I’m actually looking at the grand seiko SBGE285G.

Damn. That actually looks really sweet. Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I am missing a spring drive and a gmt in my collection. This checks both boxes. Love the size and lugs

I’ve never heard of this company. Thanks a lot of for the recommendation. Will check them out!

Yup! I saw the 39mm pictures. Sadly the launch colours don’t really speak to me. The brown dial version is nice but it’s quite expensive since there 18k gold. I’d rather add a little bit more for a grand seiko gmt.

I really wish GS would put the power reserve on the back . The date window looks ok too, it’s well matched to the colour scheme of the dial too, just preference I suppose, nice watch otherwise!

There should be a little more colors included since only few has been leaked and nothing officially announced by Longines yet.
The GS elegance collection GMTs are beautiful if the other one are on the bigger side to your taste.
After hearing how “too thick” the black bay pro is, I almost decided without even seeing it that it wouldn’t be for me. But one day at the AD I tried it and now it’s one of my favorites in the rotation.

SBGE295G is a beautiful watch for sure! Love it
The Farer Lander is a gorgeous little piece.

Same story here, own for 9 months and became one of most worn watches. I love the design but was afraid it was to thick, no problem there

Tried it yesterday and I am almost certain that I am going to get one.
