Recommendations for a Seiko Restoration Shop

I would like to have my Dad’s Seiko 1966 Asian Games One Button Chronograph restored. My Dad purchased this watch while serving as a pilot in the Army. This was his flying watch for many years and his “nice” watch after that.

I would like to have it restored in honor of him and plan on wearing it for my “special occasion” watch. I would like a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration and am looking for recommendations of a quality shop to do the work.

Thanks!

Maybe reach out to a Seiko service center?

My understanding is they won’t do any cosmetic restoration of a vintage watch. I’m sure they would service the movement.

Ahh I see. A cool idea would be to reach out to the YouTube channel Wristwatch Revival. I think he restores peoples watches. I hope you can because it’s a great watch!

I’m waiting on quotes from Watch Art Exchange and Seikologist. I’ve seen photos of both of their work and the before and afters are exquisite, but I would really love to hear someone’s real life experience with a restoration like this.
