Box o’ Citizens

Over the past 25 or so years, I’ve acquired eight solar watches, seven of them Citizen EcoDrives. They don’t get the wear they once did, but generally have been long lasting trouble free watches. I‘ll review most of these in the next few months. Six of these are on new bands, so I’ll add watch band likes and dislikes in. I’ve gotten six of them to try out a style for a year or so before I purchase a more expensive automatic. This watch box has a glass lid and I keep it near a window that gets morning sun. That has kept them all going well. None have ever been serviced, so I wouldn’t trust their current water resistance, but that’s not really what they are for. They are a nice reminders and look good. Hope you all enjoy the future posts.

Nice that you take care of them like you do.

A fellow Citizen fan too! I thought I had it bad with 5 of them, I love the brand, I feel they're so underrated.  My oldest dates from 2009 and still going strong.

Thanks! Indeed, my EcoDrives are good watches, very accurate and long lasting. My oldest dates back to 2001. I’ve replaced the bands on most, so now they are customized to my taste. This perpetual calendar is my overall favorite.

That is one very nice watch, hopefully I've attached a pic of my Citizens and my other Omega is sat in there somewhere!
