SPB259 QC but I fell in love...

I  had to send it off to Seiko to have a few things looked at:

1 - running slower than tolerance.

2 - dust on dial.

3- misaligned hour hand.

I pretty much fell in love with this watch and didn't take it off for weeks, and came to the conclusion I was probably going to keep it for a good long time, perhaps still in the honeymoon period but I don't think so, perhaps a poor mans GS (grand seiko) or a poor mans AT (aqua terra) but it very quickly became the only watch i wore  I want to be a 2 watch guy (a watch like this and a gshock) and call it a day... well I still want a GS so maybe a 3 watch guy. Can't wait to have it back. I really did think I was a diver guy... maybe I haven't met the right diver.

I am surprised to hear about the QC problems with these models. you would think a limited edition would get some extra love! The one reviewed by Justonemorewatch also had QC problems like dust inside the dial! Makes me wonder what on earth is going on at Seiko to keep adding limited editions, increasing number of QC problems, and continuing to raise prices! This would never have been the story at the time of the SARB033 or SARB017. I really like the SPB243. hopefully that does not have QC problems as well😮

I hope you can get to that 3 watch collection goal!!!!

I felt the same way For such a short run why not take the extra steps but then I don’t know. I haven’t been in the hobby long enough to know the glory days. I’m learning as I go. And I know that i don’t like spending money for something that’s not up to scratch. Even if it’s at the manufacturing level. If I bought a Mac and had anything off I’d be having Mac sort it out. but I yea shame having to wait. My Sumo had To go back to Seiko 3 times once once my fault but in the end it spent more Time there than with me :/
