The trouble with a smaller watch is that a stiff strap will cause it to feel wrong for a while. Give the strap some time to conform to your wrist properly. It'll feel better soon.
Not sure what you're arguing against actually exists. Of course brand is important, and everyone I know acknowledges that, too.
The 3 main drivers of watch value are brand, rarity and condition. The only other driver"heritage", is essentially interchangable with "marketing", which is (yet again) a subset of brand.
Sorry to hear about this. Definitely get your money back if you can. If they didn't market it as ex-display, you may have a case against them.
Controversial opinion on this one though. GS with their pristine finishing means that they show up scratches really badly. Just another reason why I stay clear of them.
