New (Smaller) promaster

Just announced, Citizen is making some 36.5mm promaster dive watches. Seems the trend of decreasing case sizes is continuing to spread. What do you think? Are they too small?

About time someone started making smaller divers.

So going back to the one i got in

1998 , cool, but mine actually Gages the dive depth . Kind of important. This vs a 42mm

Deo gratias! Who the hell wants to suffer some 40+mm watch just to get a fidget spinner? I wore my 42mm lump today and, as always, I noticed it several times during the day because it is so uncomfortable compared to a watch not meant to be worn over neoprene.

I can totally read the time on the dials in the photo, so I don't understand how else they could be too small. That is like being too good. How can such a thing be?

As someone with a small wrist I am on board with this trend!

·

I personally like my tool watches a bit bigger but my fiancée will love this!

Update: she wants the white one

·

I am all for this, unless it means they stop making bigger watches! But I do enjoy smaller watches so I’ll be looking at this one!

·

Not too small, just too small for me. I've got a Shrek like 8.5" wrist and sadly need reading glasses. No small watches for me!

·

Definitely going to show the pink-white to my partner… perhaps it will be a cheaper alternative to the Tissot Seastar 36mm.

·

I would love to try one on.

·

I’ve been wanting them to make a smaller one but for my taste, they over shot and went too small. Having said that, I’m very happy to see more 36-37mm divers hitting the market recently! I love my SKX013, it’s just that this watch’s style feels like it would work better around 39 (which is still a lot smaller than the original).

·

Very surprising announcement! I thought part of the diver charm was how big and legible they are. I’m interested to see this in person!

·

Nah

Probably just rite

·

They fit big in my experience (well, I guess they ARE big) so I'm curious if a 36 will feel 'just right' for this particular watch.

·

I'm waiting for this.

·

I like that Citizen has gone with different lug design for this model to keep the proportions really nice with the 37mm case and not just shrink down the Fugu model. The 45mm fugu models still wear small with very short lugs.

37mm is quite small for my personal taste especially for a dive watch but these will be a great option for people looking for small dive watch. The Ecodrive is icing on the cake 👌🏽

·

Having really struggled to find anything in this size and price range a couple of years ago I'm loving the new options that are coming out.

Very tempted by one of these as a summer watch (although I already have a Tissot Seastar 36mm for that purpose, but you never know when you need a 'spare', right....?)

I have to agree. I think they should have stopped at 39-40 mm at which point this would have been a no brainer to me. I have watches as small as 34 mm, but those are dress vintage and 38 sport watches. I just think a diver needs to be 40+.

I’m totally getting the rose gold one for my wife before our next cruise.

I bought the black one (EO2020) and i like it very very much!
