Now I can keep time and tell the time (but not at the same time)

As a drummer and watch geek, I just had to get this cool Metronome watch from Seiko. It’s only small (36mm by 10mm thin), but the way the hands dance when they transition from time to metronome mode is super cool. imported from Japan, there are lots of different colours available, but I went for this simple white dial with red element on the hour hand and a black leather strap (called the Monotone version). Love it!

Get one! I saw a video on YouTube and just had to have one. Cost about GBP190, so not cheap, but also not daft money

Very cool!

You are the right person for this cool watch! I saw the video and loved it. I’ve been tempted just by the cool factor, but don’t think I could pull off a ticking wrist. Thanks for posting!!

Saw a vid about this the other day… very interesting watch 😉👍

Awesome! I posted about this at the same time! I love how the hands move in synch with the neat. So cool!

I have one of these. Very cool to see in action. But I can’t say I wear or use it as a metronome very much.

Yeah, it’s more of a beep which you can switch on or off in the metronome function. Very cool!

I play the violin and I would be super amused to have that on hand! Also first Metronome I actually like! Thanks for the lead on a possibly new watch!

Different but , like many complications, somewhat useless.

Can't wear it while playing because you can't see it and surely can't hear it while playing.

I'll stick with Seth Thomas, Wittner, or Korg.

I play the drums and take it off whilst playing (I wear a G-Shock when hitting the skins!), so it does work if displayed in view, as you can use the visual tempo guide of the arm. But, yes, it’s not meant as a functional tool, rather a celebration of Seiko’s heritage and capabilities in both metronome and watch making (I wasn’t aware of the prior!)

No problem! Here’s a cool video about it to watch (if you pardon the pun):

I was exactly the same until I came across this great video on YouTube; I ordered one the next day from a Seiko retailer here in Singapore (took 4 days to arrive from Japan).
