Nomos Club 701.1 Lume Question
Hi -
I bought the new Nomos Club 701.1 recently and noticed that it seems to have no lume, or at least zero glow. Are other owners getting the same thing?
I wrote both Nomos and the AD where I got it from, and they basically said, “yeah, it’s a dressier piece so the lume will be low…” But it’s not really low as much as it’s non existent.
I love the watch, and don’t actually care about the lume, so happy to let sleeping dogs lie if this is consistent with others experience. Just want to be sure I didn’t pay for a dud.

It has no lume.
According to the Nomos website it should have lume😉
Depends on year of manufacture I think. Does yours have the 20, 40, 60 on the small seconds? If so, I think it should have the lume. The older variant with no numbers on the seconds dial has no lume.
I got the same watch a week ago too, i also notice theres no lume too.
All the responses I got from Nomos, and the place I bought it, basically said it’s not supposed to have lume. So I guess it’s there to give the grey colour and some definition to the numerals, but doesn’t really glow at all.
Fine by me. I love the watch and don’t feel that it needs lume. Just wanted to be sure someone else wasn’t like “I got it last week and it glows like a Seiko dive watch”.
Seems like the consensus is that it just doesn’t glow.

Yes. Technically the new models have lume. But it doesn’t glow. I’ve got the new 701.1. According to the specs, it has lume. But there’s zero glow.
Hi OP, a little late to the party, but I can confirm that the reworked original Nomos Club models that have been released last Oct have indeed no noticeable lume. I just got mine, the 703.1 with the sapphire caseback, a was surprised that there was basically no glow at all. If you go to a pitch black room and focus really hard, you can see a super faint blue glow. However, it’s far from being a legible dial during the night. Hope this helps!
