Hot Take: Had Quartz been invented 100 years ago, every major brand would’ve switched to it almost exclusively.

In terms of efficiency and durability we know Quartz is the best. Had Quartz been invented in say 1924, all the top brands would’ve seen how cheap pro...

I already had 2 grails. 2221.80 seamaster and 2265.80 electric blue seamaster. For me it was the BB58 OG. Watch is a great every day. Can dress it up or down, great feel. have a tag I love too. I have what I need. I’m done. My last post was on it

These are so underrated. I had one of these black ones but it was a bit too bland on dial for me so I got the electric blue version. So comfortable and timeless.

I had this black one, sold it cause it seemed a bit too bland to me but it was super comfortable and sleek. I ended up replacing it with the electric blue verison of this Peter Blake. Two of the most unique models they've made.

My bad. German newspaper

Swiss Army is a good one. Marathon, CWC. Then Tag Heuer, Breitling, Omega and Grand Seiko. All are brands with history and respected.

Electric Blue I wear to work frequently, it’s lighter and thinner. If I know I’m going to happy hour and I’m wearing the watch for at least 10 hours it’s definitely a go to. Blue Bond is heavier and bracelet more dressier, dial isn’t as loud and it’s understated. For dinners, events, my wedding, once a week to work usually. You definitely feel it after 10 hours on wrist. Longest I wore it was on a tropical vacation a few years ago. Tag and Tudor I wear to work but also more casually on weekends. Any yardwork beating its seiko and Hamilton. If I do fall activities I usually throw a leather strap on the Hamilton and wear the Tudor due to warmer tones. To answer your original question, Depending on situation is when I wear an omega. My dad used to beat the electric blue for years but he got wiser, wore his tags for beating, got the omega fully serviced and gave to me. Long story short: it’s all about the situation for which watch I wear. Seiko 5 for laying stonework yes, Omegas no.

I’m confident I got to my endgame the other day. I have 3 grails that I always wanted. Two specific Omega 300m and finally OG Tudor BB58. I have 2 other watches. My first watch ever, a Seiko diver and a Hamilton Khaki Mechanical that I just liked the history of. My 6th watch is a Tag Heuer Aquaracer that I loved the look of for the past few years, great all around watch. With all of these watches I have a feeling of finality. Each watch will serves a purpose on the tier ladder for specific jobs. I have no desire to continue the collection. Every watch now gives me extreme joy and sentimental meaning. I didn’t get into this hobby really until early 2020 and now in mid 2023, my watch has ended…
