235$ for a MoonSwatch strap? My guess is that it's actually a strap for the real Omega Speedtimer and it fit because both the MoonSwatch case is identical.

I can’t argue with that. The price is a bit wild for a $260 watch. I think you’re right… The sizing is exactly the same for the real Moon Watch — So, pretty good alternative for that. Horus gave me a 25% coupon code which brings the strap down to about $170. That’s a little easier to swallow.
