Omega, help identify model and is it worth keeping?

Hi is this watch worth keeping, it was repaired about 14 years ago and has never been worn since then. I know it’s at least fifty years old and either 14 or 18 carat gold.

Talk to Tim at Omega addict.  He'll tell you.

·

How much will it cost you to keep?

IMHO, it looks way better than anything that company has made in quite a while, so I don't understand how this is a question. Market value, I don't know and don't care.

@HamiltonJuan 's suggestion is a good one.  That site maintains a useful database: https://omegaaddict.com/

Haven't seen a square case Omega. I also prefer less popular or rare pieces offered by watch brands as long as they appeal to my taste in looks/aesthetics. On the other side of the fence, I usually shy away from very popular models even if they appeal to me coz I'm worried every 4th or 5th person I meet on the street would have the same piece on their wrist. 😂 That's just me I guess. Back to your watch, if you ever decide to sell it please drop me a message. 😉

Nothing have owned for years but never worn it.

Assuming it’s a genuine Omega, ABSOLUTELY keep it.

·

It’s a keeper.

·

Have no idea the model but it is gorgeous. It’s a keeper. Of course if you decide to sell, let me know. 😉

I’d say so. To me its a very unique watch. I’ve only ever Seen one before, and not even in person.

We are all a bunch of WIS here. For us, all watches are worthy of keeping.

That's a keeper

That sounds like me. I own some nice watches but will hardly ever wear them because of the saturated market. Especially Seiko. They look great but there are so many makes and models. They remind me of the cheap Geneva watches they just have better quality.

That's a really nice looking watch. Any gold Omega is worth keeping. Any Omega is worth keeping period. Keep it, wear it, and most of all enjoy it.

·

Do you know what - if you haven’t worn it for 14 years, then no, don’t keep it. It’s a vintage Omega, and provided it’s relatively decent and hasn’t been butchered could get a few hundred for it minimum.

That would look amazing with a grey pinhead suit and some lace-up shoes matching the band. Damn!
