Can Anyone Help? Seiko 5T32-6A29

Hey WatchCrunchers, I posted a couple of weeks ago that I didn't own a Seiko and now I have three, including this beautiful 5T32-6A29 (image not mine, shown for reference only). I replaced the battery and set the AC. The second hand is ticking in one second intervals as per normal.

The problem is, there's no Seiko manual for it to set the alarms and the instructions I've found online look like they've been taken with a 90's flip phone camera and are unreadable. I've even found one guy's post on another site but his instructions seemed incomplete.

Does anyone have a manual for this watch or at least have any instructions for the alarm? There's a bunch of Seiko enthusiasts on this site, I'm hoping someone can be my hero. Thanks in advance!

I believe that's the one I saw as well, but it seemed incomplete as it does not work as instructed. Maybe it's just me. I'll do another reset on the watch and try it again.

I'm surprised that instructions are so rare, given that it's a Seiko.

I appreciate your posting that @RobertWood. 🍻

I will say, having owned and sold one and still own a second Seiko alarm watch, they are all different, and they all work with varying degrees of success. There were times I knew I did it right and it didn't work, and times I knew I screwed up and it went off. I wish they would come up with something that is a little more predictable and fool proof.

Still not working, and after another reset.

I know the chimes work, I can hear them when pulling out the 4 crown.

Still looking for a good copy of the factory instructions.

I managed to squint my eyes and partially read some of the manual where it basically says that the first thing you need to do to set the alarm subsystem to the time shown on the watch. You do that by pulling out the 4 crown and turning the alarm subsystem hands to match the main dial time.

Well I wish I'd have known that! No wonder the alarm wasn't going off at the time I set.

Now that the alarm subsystem is set to the correct time, the other stuff works as explained earlier.

I'm going to leave this post up as a reference in case someone else has any questions about this model.
