What's The Rarest Watch You Own?

Literally in terms of numbers produced.

Here's mine. Ulysses Nardin Diver Lemon Shark, one of 300. Absolutely perfect bezel action and finishing, the textured dial is amazing, and the signed crown lines up perpendicular to the case when screwed down (not even Rolex does that); yet everyone shits on the modified Sellita that powers it.

The second rarest one I've got is a Seiko Ripley in the proper colour, one of 3000.

#iwc Tribute to 3705 in Ceratanium limited to 1000 pieces

That’s a cool watch. I love the lemon shark name (yes, I googled to check if it was a real shark species!) and yellow accenting. Selitta movement is a big plus in my book, especially when it comes to servicing. Exotic movements would put me off.

That would be my latest acquisition, Laco Augsburg Oliv 39 limited to 250 pieces.

Sinn U50 Pro. This is number 30 of 150.

I'm going to say my Ulysse Nardin San Marco GMT+- because I have never seen another one in this color.  Onyx Dragon, your watch is unbelievable.

I used to own a rare watch.  One of the last American made Hamilton watches produced.

It was a pristine example and I didn’t want to be the first to scratch it so I sold it to a collector friend who will treat it as a proper collectible.

I want a wearable collection, not a display collection.

I’ve always loved their Pilot range but could never bring myself to get one. Ceratanium looks fantastic

Exactly. Try getting a quote to service a Laureato. One of the reasons why I don’t own one anymore

Is that a bronze case? How did you get it to patina so evenly?

Definitely not the wackiest Ulysse-Nardin but what is with that complication at 11 LOL. I’m a fan

Ceratanium has got a special color to it. It’s not as dark as ceramic and has a stealthy matte metallic look. Difficult to describe haha

Might be cheating since it's a small independent, but my Jaeger and Benzinger LE is 1 of 40. Absolutely love this watch!

Nope. The case is actually ss with bronze PVD coating. 😉

I was in a similar situation, also with a rare Hamilton.

I used to own a Hamilton electric Meteor. One of the more unusual assymmetrical designs by the great Richard Arbib. Hamilton made only 3000 (1500 with black dials and 1500 with white dials) from 1960 to 1962.

It always kept horrible time hahaha, as most of the Hamilton electric watches did. Instead of paying several hundred dollars to get it serviced, I ended up selling it since I rarely ever wore it.

I also had a Meteor and a few other Electrics.  They keep good time when properly serviced.

Stunning watch!! Mine was exactly the same with a black outer dial on a black croc strap.

Hamilton should really think about re-releasing these case designs with automatic movements like Bulova recently did when they relaunched the Accutron brand.

If they would do anything like the abominations of the current Ventura line, I’m happier if they leave their iconic Arbib designs in the vault for now.
