Choosing one of the two great pieces of history

I found this good deal where i can get either the omega constellation cal561 or the king seiko which are both at a very affordable price. Specification-wise i think the KS is better as for the 28800 bph and mineral crystal for under 300 bucks while the omega with its 19800 bph and acrylic crystal for the same price. But i love legacy behind the constellation. I wanted to buy myself a vintage watch for my academic milestone. Both are some great pieces of history and i am struggling to choose between these two. Can anyone help me with choosing one of these amazing piece?

My personal and totally subjective opinion is to go for the Omega Constellation. Beat rate is lower than the King Seiko, but the legacy and the look tip the scales for the Omega IMO. No bad choice here though.

You can't go wrong with either (but I'd pick the Omega because I'm fine with acrylic)... maybe decide base on size/wearability?

Omega but I'm biased because that looks a lot like my Dad's watch that I remember him wearing daily in the late 60s-70s.

Wow brings back a lot of memories.  I remember what I thought as a kid was a horseshoe emblem, the silver dial, but don't remember all that text. He got rid of that watch in favor of a 2 toned Seiko quartz Rolex DJ homage (quartz crisis).

Sorry, for the personal nostalgia trip but Omega for me.  Now I'm off to hopefully not obsess on trying to find my Dad's watch based on my 40-50 year old memories.

It's pretty small at 35.5 mm but my wrist is 6.5 inches so i think it's fine

I have both watches (well, an Omega Seamaster) so probably can't give a better answer than "get both". BUT, I have always said that vintage KS are some of the most underrated watches out there, paired with a black strap and it is the sharpest dress watch, but find a decent bracelet and it is a quality datejust alternative.

I've had quite a few KS and the case on the 5626 7000 (which I believe is the pictured watch) is incredibly underrated and is exceptional on the wrist. But please check the gold medallion on the back case before hand and also verify whether the day date function is working.

Yes i finally understand its charm after i got my hand on one. Its much smaller than i thought but i cannot stop looking at it. I got one of the ks instead of the omega constellation after a long consideration. I got the one without its original bracelet and im trying to find a suitable substitution for the watch. Can you please recommend me if you know?

No probs man, just a little tip also...

The jubilee is in fact a 19mm fitted with 18mm end-links. I like the extra mm as it gives the KS a little more presence. The taper of the bracelet evens it all out.

I experimented on both leather strap and jubilee and honestly both looks stunning. The braclet required a little bit of tampering but love the looks

Yep, the KS is so dang versatile! Yours looks like it has a slight champagne tone in certain angles too. That effect looks great on the leather. I have it on the plain black Hirsch most days, but also a shiny croc or lizard strap makes the white dial just pop

I also have the distressed brown leather strap and it also enhance the vintage looks it gave. The jubilee makes it look like a rolex daydate but somehow i cannot shake the feeling like i am seeing a seiko 5. But i guess all that enhance the watch all the same
