So they just released a new US edition GS. And it is so close to my perfect watch. I was thinking about getting an SLA043, but this one is close to usurping that spot. I know they are different things, but this is beautiful.
If only it were water resistat...

I think that blue is going to be out of this world. Not a single photo of GS that I've ever seen has done justice to the watch. They always looks absolutely amazing in person.
The only question is: "Are you after a diver or a dress watch?" If you're a tool watch guy, then a dress watch is never going to satisfy!
anyone have any advice on swimming/looking at water with the dressy non screw down crown GSes? Is it a complete no no?
There’s an awful lot to like about this piece, but the dial is quite dull compared to so many of their other offerings. They have set that bar very high, which is a good thing. So to me, no not the best. However, I would reserve final judgment until I see the product in person, because GS watch photography is usually not great.
Based on advice I got from someone who was at the NYC event where they announced it I ordered one. This is not a limited edition and will be part of the elegance lineup for a while, so I don't think its going to be "sold out". I can't wait to have it on my wrist, I will post a few shots here when it comes in.
I have SLA043 and I have to say they are both very nice in their own rights. Seiko makes amazing dials.
why not both? 😈 Lol the GS is more of a dress watch and SLA is more sporty.

I would be very nervous swimming with anything that doesn't screw down.
