I could live with the Citizen Promaster Tough, 'Ray Mears', titanium, solar. It's one of those watches that certain brands like to drive 30 ton trucks over and that always spring back to life. A bit like Bugs Bunny.
Thank you so much for your warning about '[my] sort of thinking.' It was rash of me to imagine that I could think at all.
I may not be very good at arithmetic, either, but 24 'affordable' watches (admittedly a relative term) do not tend to involve the spending of 20k.
We are talking, here, about watches. We are also talking about people in poverty - in a so-called first world country. However much the gentleman gives to charity (if he does), 20k would be helpful to those people.
However you slice it, poverty, war and earthquakes come before glitter on the wrist. But don't worry, this is just 'my sort of thinking.'
I don't know if I qualify as a knucklehead, but I doubt it. If you have 20k to spend on a watch, why not give the money away and save a few people's lives? That would be a human investment.
Some people on here are paying thousands of pounds on a watch. A watch. In the UK, cases of malnutrition are on the rise because there are people who cannot afford food. Why not forgo that next toy and help a few people to eat?
