I may have found my perfect GMT but it is discontinued (Citizen PMX56-2501
As the title says, I missed an auction for a well loved version of this watch and I am kinda kicking myself because it looks to be the perfect GMT for me. I am not a huge fan of moveable bezels and prefer the aesthetic of a military field watch. Anyways, just wanted to come here and whine a bit and maybe, just maybe someone will see my post and decide that they are ready to sell theirs.

And it is a Citizen, too...
I did stop bidding on eBay once, at just 100 euro, for the most delicious titanium watch I ever seen and it was in mint shape too... It did then sell for 120 euro... Following two photos IS actually of that watch...
It make me still angry on myself - but I'm glad that I anyhow have the second most deleicious titanium watch I seen... So glad that I eventually bought two...
And a nice Seiko 100m titanium chronograph as reserve...
So I am rather happy!

Fingers crossed you can find something in decent condition that doesn't have cooked internals. I'd be very wary of buying an old eco-drive watch, to be honest. You never know what sort of life it will have had, over the years.
I'm looking for exactly that too! Nothing else in that niche at all.
Closest I have found so far is this one but need to save my pennies up.

Good point. I have already been stung by a discontinued Ecodrive. I actually put a WTB on a Reddit Watch Exchange sub and almost got scammed by someone who took images from an old forum post and passed them off as their own.
I think I am done with this pursuit as discontinued Ecodrive movements are prohibitively expensive to replace.

It's a great style. Maybe Seiko will release something in the new Seiko 5 GMT line that matches.

Yeah, this one gives me more Explorer 2 vibes than a military field watch vibe but a gorgeous watch in its own right. Plus CW are renowned for their quality.

I think that's the smart move. Unless you are wildly, passionately, 100% in love with the idea AND are prepared to throw money at it for any sort of intervention, this is best left as, "Ah well, it would have been nice to have one at the time they were new, but it doesn't make as much sense now..."
