What's your favorite Military Watch?

It's taken me a few years to warm up to IWC as a brand, but in this video I get hands-on with a Spitfire and realized what I was missing all along.

What's your favorite pilot/military watch?

Breguet Type XX is my favourite (especially with a big ol’ onion crown). ✌️

Tough call but from my collection it would have to be my Hamilton Pilot Pioneer Mechanical. As close the the original version of the original model produced for the British Royal Air Force in 1973, in almost every detail.

I already posted this pic in the “most worn” thread, but I’ll add it here - my SRPG35. I dig this watch.

My favorite is your IWC! It's great! I just wish it didn't have that fake patina. I can't get over that ever since my bb58. Maybe one day.

Either Sinn 104 or 356

(Image failed to load!)I do love the IWC spitfire. I think the Hamilton Khaki  Field is still best. I miss mine quite a bit. This is a stock photo but just like one I had.

VegasDancer, your killing it Bro 💪👍👌🙌. The provenance is something that I imagine, can be felt threw those markings; WOW 🤯! Do they actually smell like a trench or a plane cockpit 😃😄😊😉💙?

·

My favorite woud have to be my only military watch, but I chose it carefully 😃. Excelsior Park EP42 👍.

Just out of curiosity, which watch is the Bundeswehr chrono? I know that the Bundeswehr issued few watches, and those generally were only used during service.

I assume it's the Heuer in the previous pic, but I can't tell because of the strap.

·

the latest IWC Top Gun Chrono does it for me, love that series for pilots watches.

Ironic I know - but if they offered a more wearable big pilot that still maintains a 7 day power reserve I’d be all over that too. Current small version really cut that out.

That is a Heuer 1550 SG 👍

Here is my old Sinn NaBo 17ZM pulled from a Tornado GR-4

The clock can be seen on right side of the cockpit

The paperwork provides nice provenance

Awesome watches in this thread. Here’s mine. Birth month and year Hamilton. Still works and looks great despite the age. Size is definitely  smaller for today’s market but it’s very legible. (Image failed to load!)(Image failed to load!)(Image failed to load!)(Image failed to load!)

My everyday all-round watch since 1999. And I love the way it flyes under the radar. So discreet, so subtle, yet very legible in all lights

In rank order, but in reality I've got a soft spot for all of them.

1). Smiths W10 1968

2). CWC 0552 1989 (also birth year)

3). Seiko RAF gen1 1990

4). CWC SBS diver
