Ok I love this watch. It's a 1655 reincarnated ๐ I finally got my hands on one of these and I'm surprised at how well it wears considering the numbers on paper. Compared to the Pepsi BB GMT, so much better. Are you considering one?

great video, Max. The BB Pro is not my cup of tea, really to thick (tried often the Tudor Pepsi on) and I am not a faultina fan. I was always wondering why in some videos/photos the hands look more white and some more eggshell. You mentioned that the crystal is tinted, I never read/heard that before. That could explain that the different looks in different lighting conditions. Can you explain a bit more on that? Is it like on the Milgauss?
Unfortunately, I didn't had the chance to try it on yet.ย
Nice review - very fair. It does look awesome with that warm glow you mentioned. Also those markers are a great feature.ย
โGMT of the Yearโ in June? Have you been insider info by the watch industry after starting Watch Crunch ๐?
My generation prefers the term Phat. And weโre secure enough to be called such and not get our feeling hurt ๐คฃ
Personally, I just canโt get into (brace for unpopular opinion) the look of steel bezels.ย
ย
If the lug to lug of the GMT S&G was comprobable to the BB Pro would you have felt differently about it? ย
watched countless bb pro videos most excited to see this one pop up in my feed Max

Yes, I would imagine it's like the milgauss. Haven't gotta confirmation from my AD but he said he'd ask ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Must be the new watch fever talking ๐

Ahhh, when bad meant good ๐
I just love how much 1655 DNA is in this watch ๐

Thanks Alex! ย Hope you enjoyed it ๐

I really dig the steel bezel look, but would go for a SPB185 if were to get one. Don't need GMT.
I was looking for 16570 neo vintage Explorer 2 because the current gen explorer 2 42mm is too big for my wrist. I believe this 39mm might be better alternative than 16570 for me :) Great review.ย

I honestly just like an extra hand ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐
Still mad Flanders never caught on ๐. Thanks Morgan!
I enjoyed the vid as well Max...ย
That said, I sure did not care for the 'tude I got asking about the watch at a local AD. The Sales guy smirked when I asked about the watch saying I could not see one as they are sold before they hit the case. No "display only" models either. I guess these are unobitaniumn as well? It felt like I was asking to see a 5711 or AP Jumbo.
I would take a Pelagos over a BB nine out of ten times, but that one is a beaut.ย
My third favorite Tudor, behind the FXD and the 1926. Tudor did an awesome job with this release. Nice video.ย

We are of the same mind! My 1926 is tied with my Super Sea Wolf for favorite in the collection. Itโs such an under-appreciated watch, mostly (I suspect) because you have to see it in person to appreciate how beautiful it is.ย
It's a cool watch. I have had one on my wrist a few times. I don't think it's too thick, however, I really enjoy a rotating bezel. The only reason I personally would look elsewhere.ย
I have a larger wrist so Iโd take the BB GMT over a Pro. Personally not a fauxtina fan but a decent overall package.ย
I have this watch and it wears really well. Thickness is a non issue

Congrats! ย Yes it's better in person ๐

Ugh, that's dirty, "I'm here to give you 4 thousand dollars" should always be treated with gratitude and great humilityย

I'd find a different sales guy or a new AD. These aren't Rolex GMT's LOL!

Agreed. But Iโm afraid the end result elsewhere would be the same - although the sales person may be nicer about it.ย
ย
Another AD in town carries Rolex and Tudorโฆboth cases are EMPTY!ย

I understand the current market and the run on Rolex. I've also seen Tudor's in show cases. My local AD had both Black Bay 58s on bracelets in their case. I've also seen Black Bay GMT's on bracelet in the case of another local AD. So the Tudor watches are out there. If your local AD laughs, find a new one.

Well I donโt really โhaveโ an AD per seโฆbut yes. Iโll look elsewhere. In my big city, there are too many dollars chasing too few watches and Instagram flexing is too much a part of the DNA.
Great video @Max! I enjoy the commentary but REALLY enjoy the imagery you come up with. That thing is way heftier than I thought it would be, but you made the case for wearability. For me it's a no go. I'm not a huge fan, but it is cool.
I got mine a few days ago and absolutely loving it .Tudor is what Rolex was , a proper kick ass tool watch with an incredibly accurate movement , excellent build quality and rugged good looks . ( Not just a shiny piece of jewellery) . The crystal is definitely a shade of yellow ( Iโm a seventies child so love that ) think we should call it the Tudor ( sepia) if you have that setting on your camera you will understand . Was so sad when I sold my Rolex sub (1998) model 20 years ago but this feels like itโs back again . Thank you Tudor for bringing back a tool like crown again , loved the one on my p01 And this is just as cool . The thickness doesnโt bother me at all as my last Tudor a bb dark was even thicker than the pro . if you go back and look at where this watch came from the early 60s tudor subs all had the riveted bracelets so thatโs authentic to . Just wish they never polished the flanks of this watch but that isnt a dealbreaker as with a few months of wear they will be gone anyway . Canโt wait to see what Tudor does in the next few years , they are definitely going in the right direction. Long live the Tudor sepiaย
Anybody know if the Fostner Black Bay Bracelets fits this too?
