State of the Crunch !!
Elon has failed in his bid to acquire WatchCrunch, and Kanye has been escorted off the premises.
My dear Crunchers, after year one, the state of the Crunch is STRONG 🍪
The team behind the scenes are burning the midnight oil on some big improvements:
- You may have noticed a more streamlined interface for the WRUW section this week.
- The main focus atm is the app which is in its final testing phase and only weeks away. iOS will be first followed shortly by Android.
- In 2023 we will be off to the races with new features like a SOTC section within your profile that lets you catalog and show off your collection, better chat features, better ways for people to contribute blogs/articles, more ways to earn kudos points for your contribution here.
As always, we are eternally grateful for the wonderful community we've had the privilege to help foster. Please keep being your kind, generous and quirky selves.
And let us know what you want to see and how you want WatchCrunch to grow in 2023.

The news of an app is the biggest & best news for me. I'll still use the browser version on my desktop at work, but an app will be a game changer just for sitting around the house etc.
I also think an app will bring a lot more members & or retain a lot more members. Exciting times ahead.
I am in my twelfth month here and it has been a fun ride. The site has been improved and is easier to use.

I always knew that Twitter wasn't his first choice. He just didn't have the funds to take over this premium community.

Please no selling section. It will spoil the experience of just discussion and banter. We don’t want to attract the wrong type of membership here who just want to flip watches. there are enough platforms for that already.
The fact that there is an application will be a very good thing.
I'm not sure if this is already the case, but the fact that our personal data and our respective locations are secure will also be very useful.
So that we can feel at home on this application.
The app is going to be a huge addition - I think that's when we'll see many, many more people join the community here. Excited for it. 😍

Truthfully, I want this app to replace Instagram for the watch community. It’s a stretch, I know, especially because the whole point of being on Insta is being able to reach a massive potential customer base for brands and media. Here, you’re kind of preaching to the choir. Still, one can dream, no?
Hey Max, Congratulations again on a great platform! Idea just came to mind. PO BOX to send watches to loan for you to review. This way you get access to lots of different pieces. With the growing popularity I am sure more access is alread coming your way. Not sure how to create submissions for that. Your techs will work that out. Also good for other correspondence. I dunno - Maybe Crunchers send you a favorite brewery t shirt for sending a WC t shirt. I know this is low tech but we are all about the analog with mechanical watches. Maybe that creates too much additional work. Whatever. Hope this is useful.

Dunno if anyone’s made this suggestion yet, but how about a ”Randomizer” tab? A section of feed that just takes one arbitrarily through everything, posts, NWA, WRUW, polls, everything?
Mobile App = game changer for WRUW.
Threaded replies to posts would be cool.
Looking forward to that SOTC feature. Another nice feature could be a Wishlist section with maybe a way to weigh each piece (as in prior 1,2,3 or similar).
