I’ve wanted a PANDA for a while! NWA🥳🎉🎊🍻

Here’s the thing…..I have wanted a more classic looking Panda 🐼 Dial chronograph for a while, NOT like this one:

…….especially the SSC911, but I just can’t bring myself to spend over $500 for a Seiko. I never have and I’ve had many Seiko’s fortunately.

So…..I ordered the Orient Panda instead. I felt like the specs were also better for a better price. Screw down crown, signed crown, and a rotating bezel, which the Seiko doesn’t have.

BUT….the Seiko does have a solar level indicator and a better bracelet. So…..is that enough to go from $199 to over $500? Not for me. 🍻

I’ve wanted this Orient since it came out and now it’s on the way.

Both are great if u are looking for a panda dial. However they are different tool watches. The Orient looks to be a diver-chrono combo while the Seiko is a more traditional racing chrono with a fixed tachymeter. You seem happy with your decision & u should enjoy your new Orient. Wear it well.

I like the Orient brand in general. The Seiko is a watch I seriously thought about getting. The red splashes are nice on the Seiko.

I don't think you should be spending 500 on a seiko quartz chronograph but it is a prospect and you're getting that status and the look. I personally prefer the seiko but you made the right decision going with the orient

I recently sold my seiko speedtimer golden panda, for the all-black variant of the Orient Mako chronograph you ordered. No regrets whatsoever.

İt would be my choice also

Can't go wrong with either.

There are about a half dozen chronographs from each brand I really like.

Decisions decisions.🤔😄

I have the SSC911 Seiko and it does not disappoint! The bracelet is really nice although I wish it had more adjustments. The watch reminds me of this Tag (that I'll never afford). More silver than white and more elegant than I expected. Got it for $411.00

I had that seiko panda, but I sold it BC I didn't like the date window.

So I bought this one

No complaints about the Seiko Speedtimer on my end, it’s a gorgeous piece that gets a lot of compliments from non-watch people. I actually gifted my brother an Orient chronograph and it was well built, but I prefer the more compact size of the Seiko.

Take a look on eBay. I purchased the Seiko for $450 and I’m very happy with it. Swapped out the bracelet for a black rubber strap. Many a deal to be found out there. Good luck!
