My watch collection in chronological order. Part 4

This Seiko Speedtimer Chronograph with the white dial was the watch that got me addicted to chronographs. I had always loved the look of a chrono with its coloured contrasted subdials and also the usability of the stopwatch function.

I bought this watch after I quit my first job, which I had had to work about 80hours a week in order to change my lifestyle and shift priorities more over to my family and private life as I realised how important it is to spend time with the people and things you love after my beautiful daughter was born.

As a chrono is there for tracking time it was a good symbol for the importance of having as much happy time as possible.

The idea of a never stopping solar Quartz watch really fascinated me even tho I’m way more into mechanical pieces generally. I love its sporty look, the watch feels really well made and I also got a really good deal on it so I pulled the trigger.

The bracelet - even if it’s not the same brushing as the case, which is a concern you read in a lot of reviews- really doesn’t bother me at all as it has good weight and feel , solid links and feels good on the wrist.

Do you have solar quartz watches? What is your experience with these? 😊

Thanks! Family contributes more to life than work.. that’s what I had to learn :)

Great collection!

I don’t have any solar watches and this exact one has been appealing to me recently. I don’t wear a lot of chronographs as I only have the Moonswatch and the Lunar Pilot (one is plastic and green and the other is god damned humongous) but this one looks great for a reasonable price (I don’t think I’ll wear it a ton).

Do you know the lug size?

After I win #1wc I might try and grab a used one.

·

Oh yeah, the 39mm and 45.something lug to lug are just perfect in size for almost every wrist.

It is a strap monster with 20mm lugs.

I can really recommend it honestly ☀️😊

I have the same watch. Love it. I also have two citizens. One I have had for 15 years and love it.

I too have this watch. Took mine off the bracelet and popped it in a leather strap. Like the fact that it’s solar and less than 40mm
