I’m relatively new to the watch enthusiast world but know that there are some who would consider a 40mm case with 44mm lug to lug large for a dress watch, however I think it looks pretty good on the wrist and at 7” my wrist is not overly large. With it’s black dial and rose gold accents on the hands and numerals the face looks great. The case looks slim at 11mm, the lugs are long which means that there is a bit of a large gap between the leather strap and steel case. But this watch does look good, is it as nice as a Rolex dress watch, no but at the price you pay for it that can’t be expected. I think the watch is great, at nine years old I’ve had to change the strap, it hasn’t had a service and runs just as well now as when it was bought. A great watch that I can highly recommend.

Own a 125th Anniversary set with my wife. Have owned several Certinas.
My only issue with the brand is they see 40mm as the lower end of dress Watch size. Sad they don't do 36-38mm for these models.

I hear what you’re saying and it’s odd that a company with the history of Certina doesn’t seem to make these dress watches in a smaller size but I just like it. I would say that I like a bigger watch 40mm is my smallest, so really they’re perfect for me.
Thanks for the review! Great watch

Thanks yeah Certina don’t get the props they deserve and this one’s brilliant.
