Recently I have posted about a watch from Polish watchmaker ‘Błonie’ limited edition created in order to raise funds to help Ukraine, you can find it here: http://Watch to support Ukraine
Today I wanted to show you a different initiative in the watchmaking world from a more known brand - Christopher Ward.
Initiative is set to raise 150,000 euros which will be donated to Red Cross in Ukraine. C63 will be limited to 300 pieces. With price set to € 750 for an oak leather version, quick calculation tells us that 2/3 from each euro paid will be donated. Impressive!
Specifications of the watch:
Movement: Sellita SW 200-1 (Elaboré ‘Colimaçoné’ finish on the movement)
Case material: Marine grade stainless steel
Water resistance: 150 mm
Lume: SLN X1 BL C1
Watch is also avaiable on a brushed steel, black hybrid rubber, black white tide ocean material. I was never a fan of watches with clearly visible national/patriotic features, however this one has a great meaning behind of it. It is not only a symbol of Ukraine, it means that the owner wanted to help in a noble cause. It is a small brick used to build the better world. What do you think about watches like this?
