Jaeger-Le-Coultre Reverso DuoFace Calender
Popped into the JLC boutique on London Bond street yesterday and drawled over a couple of pieces.
I was then nugged over to the Reverso's. Whilst I liked the design and massively appreciate the reverso line, I previously didn't see me seriously adding one to the collection.
The very knowledgeable lady presented this Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar. I mean just look at it 😍
This piece is a thin of beauty. The craftsmanship , the detail, the fact its a fidget spinner!! Even the dark blue leather strap just oozed quality. I want it, so much I'm considering selling some of my other pieces to finance one. At 14K clearly an expensive piece. I feel like my taste has evolved.
Seeing JLC in the metal, this brand is SO under appreciated its criminal. What do you guys think. I'd be interested to know.

Love it, one of my favorite models of any brand.
Probably doesn’t hold value well, might be a good idea to find a reputable secondhand dealer. Unless you like the boutique experience.

No i expect the value to drop a fair bit. I feel this is a piece you buy with your heart rather than the worry of residuals. I do like the fact its a quality brand, the watch makers watchmaker and unlikely to be recognised outside of us watch nutters

100%, I was more so bringing up value because you could probably get a good deal on it. Some watches wouldn’t be worth buying second hand, but JLC is a brand that typically has good bargains.

Out of all the luxury manufactures, JLC is without doubt the most under-rated. But JLC tells me that they like it so, that they don’t want to become a “hype watch brand” and that their clientele is on average more educated about watches (rather than simply wanting and buying one for the brand / model).
The Reverso is simply iconic and the design is pure art. JLC invited me recently to see the first ever Reverso, and also the Reverso Hybris Mechanica Quadriptyque (sold out at €1.3m exc tax) 😮
Fantastic choice! You cannot go wrong with a JLC and certainly never with a Reverso.

Agreed. The other one I had on was a perpetual calender in gold, egg shell dial

I have been reading up on this watch, at one point thinking about this versus the Mariner Memovox... still leaning toward the duo face calendar model shared by OP for my next big purchase which will be a milestone piece for me. JLC makes stunning watches.

Definitely one of the luxury brands where I wouldn't argue about the price. These watches are beautiful.
