WATCHFINDER SAID I CAN PICK ANY WATCH?

Looking forward to working with Watchfinder a bit this year! They have asked me to pick any watch to review from their website! Which watch would you choose? Is there a watch you’d never be able to handle in the metal normally? It’s like being a kid in a candy watch shop!

This should be a blast for you my watch friend! Here's my pick. Looking at one of these bad boys for my 65th bday. Damn 3 years sh#%. Oh well.

Cheers!

You know, I think you should choose something toolish and high end.

You're a tool watch guy  (an excellent one) based on your reviews and collection so I'd be curious on your thoughts on a super high end sports/tool watch and particularly the differences from more available references.

Not a Rolex (they're expensive but common) but something really interesting but with real sportsman heritage.

Perhaps a Fifty Fathoms No-Rad?

Or the Titanium Master Compressor?

Or one of the interesting IWC pilots Chronos

Honestly, I would love for you to do a Tudor BB 36 just to see what your wife thinks of it as well, but that watch has probably been overdone on YouTube. I guess I would look for something that is sort of unique and under the radar that turns out to be a great watch.

Possibly a vintage Heuer

I think she’d like the Tudor my friend.

That's good to hear. I've wanted a woman's opinion of it. Toward the end of this year, I am getting the watch that I will pass down to my daughter since she's my only child, and that is what I am considering buying. Everything else I have is too big for her wrist, so her husband, or maybe future grandsons, will get a really nice collection.

You asked. I say the eternally-orgasmic 222.

Omega Railmaster.  It's very under rated.  The strap and bracelet options are not the best.  However, it's a terrific all-around watch.  The denim dial is stunning in person.

Something that is awesome but gets little attention: jlc polaris chrono, GO panomaticluna, Raymond Weil freelancer gmt wordtine, Tudor royal, piaget polo, Chopard gmt one black, zenith defy ceramic blue…  stuff like that lol

Congrats on the partnership Russell. Do you want watches for views or because you want to see it? Obviously, the answer will vary as some brands are just SEO death. If the goal is to get views to continue to get watch partnerships like Watchfinder, I suggest watches that will appeal to a broader audience, which yes, could be boring. OR you take the approach of, "A better dive watch than Submariner?" and review other high-end brands. Rolex fans will jump in to argue, others will get to discover the new watch.

Either way, awesome job, looking forward to whatever videos you create.

you are having a stroke, you write ‘help‘ on the window, you collapse.

My vote is for a wild and wonderful watch that’s way, way out of my league.

Yes to that bonkers Dubuis, or the knights of the round table one would be good also.

this Cartier

or this huge hublot

Or anything else that’s obscure and interesting

just not a boring Rolex or Panerai 🙂
