One point a lot of people miss with Field watches is, they aren't intended for use in the water... 

When you're wearing full fighting order that last thing you want to be doing is going for a swim. If you do end up int he drink, your watch is going to be the least of your concerns (and 50m is still enough for a bit of a swim).
