SPACE WATCHES!!! What Is Your Favourite?

I love anything to do with SCI FI , SPACE, and WATCHES that went to SPACE;) Unfortunately for me and my wrist the Bulova Luna Pilot is too big!!! Doesn’t mean I don’t like it as a watch! From G Shocks to Omega Speedmasters! What’s your favourite space watch?!;)

I'd be all over this watch if it was smaller......I've a colleague who owns one....it looks like a dinner plate on his wrist, on my 6.75" it doesn't look much better.....If they could 39mm this watch and slim down the thickness to 10-11mm.....It would be a no brainer. As a speedy owner, I would LOVE to own a quartz companion to my watch...there's room for an automatic and a quartz moon watch in this market.

The Vostok Amphibia, the first automatic watch taken to space, that proved auto winding works in zero g!

The Bulova wears me for sure.  I'll tell you what though, outside of a glove on a motorcycle, there's nothing like it.  The dimensions actually work, like they would on a space suit!

That is a great point!!;) outside of a spacesuit it would look perfect!!;)

It is indeed a pity for this watch to be so humongous, time after time wanted to pull trigger on it.

With that said i think Fortis offers another option.

Is that true that it was the first one in space? source? I'd love to read up on that!

You can't talk about space watches without mentioning the first watch actually IN SPACE

The STRELA. Came with a cal. 3017 (which is effectively a Soviet-made version of the 1940s-era Venus 150/152 caliber if I'm not mistaken) Column wheel chronograph with 17 jewels. Gorgeous little chronograph.

The First watch to be worn on an EVA when Alexei Leonov went on his first, nearly disastrous spacewalk - He took one of these bad mamajamas out with him. Beat Ed White and the Omega Speedmaster by about 3.5 months.

You can get modern-era homage's with either the Russian made Poljot 3133 (Valjoux 7734) or the Chinese ST19 (which is actually more closely related to the original 3017/Venus 155 movement, as it's a Chinese version of it's successor - the Venus 175 column wheel movement)

I like the Werenbach brand...I always like the lesser known brands it seems.
