If you go there, Just One More Watch has been doing it heavily for years. From what Ive read CX with this retailer is good overall.

Having a manufacturer's warranty matters for the watches I've bought in the past couple of years (including a couple of Tudors) so I've never considered them, but I'll gladly go through them for less expensive pieces in the future.

His previous were sponsored by Watchfinder.

Guess reviewers are supposed to magic watches out of thin air?? 😆

·

Have purchased 4 watches from Jomashop USA in past 18mths.

All delivered in Aust no problem & as described.

Thankfully no need to send any back. Their responses to email are fairly poor.

·

Bought a few watches from jomashop without any hitches, of course 1 was a g shock and 1 I got with a gift card money

·

I've bought a few from Joma. My rule is that the discount from retail has to be significantly more than a service from my local, trusted watchmaker would cost because I do not consider their warranty to be worth a thing.

The only one I've had issues with was a Tissot that had obviously been on the shelf for a long time (it hadn't been produced for 5+ years when I bought it). The lubricants had gunked up and it required a $180 service less than a year after buying it. But it was almost $600 less than retail so I consider it now $400 less than retail for a really nice watch.

I have bought watches from Jomashop for a number of years now. Only ever had one watch with a problem, and they took care of it with no questions or problems.

  1. Spon Con is fine. I just didn’t think this was labeled clearly.

  2. Reviewers can get watches on loan from manufacturers or dealers without being sponsored by them.

I've had good and bad experiences with Jomashop.

Unfortunately the bad has caused me to be very wary of buying from them again.

·

I bought from Jomashop before, and never had any problems. On the other hand, I bought watches I planned on modding, or those that I could repair myself in a pinch.

I would say anything over $1000 is something I'd prefer to buy elsewhere.

@MWC2020 You're thread is here. 😉

(Great vid - and I'll admit as a Black Bay 58 OG owner, I am also tempted to double up with the blue)

Well thank you for pointing this out???? I had heard of Jomashop for about 5 years now and was always curious about the service and the process of buying a watch from there. I recently sold a Sinn U50 and the GS SBGN003 . The plan was always to get a BB58 . After chatting with JS for well over a month, gathering opinions (first from my members) we’re all positive and with any company , there are bad stories , however the positives were 99% and they have been running for 30 years . I was given a discount however I still put a huge(huge for me) sum down for the Tudor.

I filmed that unboxing as I wanted to show whether it had been a good idea or a bad idea!!!

And for me, it was 100% positive!!!!!!!

I’ll be buying from Jomashop again!!!

I’m no shill!!!!??? I’m just BRILL!!!!

Glad you’ve had a positive experience with JS and extra glad you got the BB58 you wanted!

You are indeed “Brill”!

You are 100% correct my friend. I’m not going to truly know the regular customers experience granted. But I asked a lot of people as well as content creators such as Jody JOMW. The comment sections of my shows are always open to peoples opinions and experiences and I hope that with that and WatchCrunch , people can decide whether to purchase with Jonashop or not.

I've never bought anything from JS, but I have seen many WC members give them a good recommendation.

The thing to remember is, in the watch world, JS is a mid-tier business. I'm sure that they try really hard to please their customer base, but I'd be willing to bet that they (being human, as we all are!) have dropped the ball from time to time.

A quick Google of their net worth reveals:

"Jomashop is a fashion and apparel retailer with online presence and sell apparel, bags and wallets, accessories, footwear, jewelry and watches & beauty and personal care related products. It is headquartered in United States of America. Jomashop has an estimated web sales of $250M-$500M. Jomashop attracts a monthly unique visitor traffic 391,302 visitors." ---(Source: PipeCandy)

TL/DR: They seem to be legit, as far as I can tell.

Several modest purchases from JS and its sister site, World of Watches, which seem to share inventory, though many are not actually in inventory.

Mostly positive, and haven't needed to return anything. Wow has smaller listing, but often lower cost without discounts. JS sometimes has better prices with discounts.

One great deal on a Citizen Promaster was cancelled because they were unable to source it for less than they charged. I eventually found it elsewhere for slightly more.

Last year, I experienced my first online credit card fraud through WoW. Many previous CC issues were from offline scimming. In this case, someone got the unique info I used with WoW on a purchase from June to buy multiple plane tickets online in late December. I'll let the bank's team follow up with WoW, but suspect it was an inside job. The only other option is that someone hacked the CC info. Either way, it's not good. I suggest using a payment method that hides your CC info (e.g. PayPal or virtual credit card) when buying from either site.
